Sunday School

The Martha Hanson Class - Led by Larry Berrong

The Martha Hanson class is a Bible-based study using a text provided by the Presbyterian Church, USA. While the text provides a guide, the heart of the class is derived from student participation. We are always excited to welcome new participants.

The Inquirers (Adults) - Led by Debbie Long

The class is designed to study various books of the Bible or various faith-based books and thematic topics like women of the Bible, the Trinity, attributes of God, and Reformed Theology. Our goal is develop a deeper understanding of the word of God and our relationship to our Triune God. Visitors are always welcome and each lesson stands on its own, so you can visit at anytime.

Bible Study

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Several years ago, we began a study of the Bible starting with Genesis, and have moved through Scripture often verse by verse, chapter by chapter. Some days we cover several chapters; other days, we don't even complete a chapter.  Every lesson is "stand-alone".

We've completed the Pentateuch (First 5 Books of the Old Testament), Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1st & 2nd Samuel, 1st & 2nd Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, some of the Minor Prophets, Philippians, and a topical study on "Angels". We're currently comparing the 4 Gospels.

Join us on Tuesday mornings as go a bit deeper into God’s Word.

We meet during the school year on Tuesdays @ 10:00 a.m. in the FPC conference room.

There's room at the table, so join us.

Fellowship Groups

Man Cave
Thursdays from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Conversation is free-ranging, including politics, sports, religion, and more. We strive to take the high-ground in our conversations. Coffee and sausage biscuits are provided. No reservation is needed.

Saints Alive
Singles and couples, generally 50 and older, we normally gather on the 3rd Tuesday of each month @ 6:30 p.m. for supper and a program. The charge for most events is $12 per person. RSVPs are much appreciated.
For information, please contact Pam Rossi at prossi101@gmail.com.

Viticulture-Wine Tasting Group

We meet in homes on the 2nd Thursday of each month @ 6:30 p.m. to enjoy wine, finger foods, and conversation. Most months the attendees bring "commodities" (a snack item plus one bottle of wine per household).

Please contact the church office for additional information by email:  office@fpcmonroe.com

Women's Circle

It's been said that we learn and engage better in "circles" instead of "rows".   If you are looking to get to know some other women in a real and meaningful way, join our group. Rows are great for Sunday mornings but take a chance to go deeper and jump into a Women's Circle.

The Joy Circle meets monthly during the school year for Bible study, service, and fellowship.

     2nd Monday @ 1:30 p.m.  Joy Circle

For more info, please contact the church office by email:  office@fpcmonroe.com

Quilters

Our quilters - some of whom quilt, some of whom "piece," and some of whom tie knots - have a dedicated sewing room at our church. When one of our families or friends is experiencing a valley or a mountain top, we make 'em a quilt. We make a batch of quilts at a time, and meet as needed to replenish our supply. New quilters are welcome. Sewing and quilting skills aren't needed.
For information, contact Susan Evans at susanwe@me.com.

Children/Youth

We offer love and nurture for all ages, including our young children and youth. Children are welcome in worship and can participate in the Children’s Moment. Sunday School, extended care and nursery connects children with faith in a hands-on, real-life way. Our children and youth programs include VBS and seasonal activities. We are looking to expand our youth worship activities.
